Princi, London

Spirito di Milano Princi

I actually found out about Princi x Alan Yau by reading the latest issue of Square Meal at work. Whom the librarian said Square Meal actually send copies to our office for free, but sometime can be none sometime can be a lot of copies. So i m actually thinking…. can i keep a copy? As they throw them away when the new one comes in.

Once I know the date of opening, i actually marked it down on my outlook at work. Funny enough, I don’t want to turn up on the opening day, as I know it will be very busy! It look me over almost two weeks to go there. Actually, i went there today out of the blue, as I didn’t just want to go out just for badminton, so i went out slight earlier just for Princi.

All I can say, its worth it for me to travel solely for Princi! I am one of those that are willing to travel for food, it can be quite sad haha~ the time I went was before 1300 on Sunday 10th Nov, no one was on counter area, only a few individual were on the seating area. Love the display and interior straight away, very large open space with a long bar against the wall with tap display. Also, there are long tables and few stand blocks (anyone realised there is actually a hole like? for rubbish?) for quick munch individual. Have anyone actually notice the long tables surface? There are lots of cup bottom marks, that looks stained on purposely to create that ‘feel’, I quite like it! The food display actually goes by breakfast bread items, patisserie and cheesecakes, savoury breads/sticks, pizzas, hams and cheese, salad and hot food, then finally the drink bar. Free samples are round the display glass, I managed to grab some warm bread cubes, woo~ there were even brownie cubes!!

Having a blogger’s (Helen) word in my mind, grab any of the staff’s attention, order and pay. As it was quiet at the time, they actually draw attention to me directly. Although, I was so tempted to order cakes straight away, but I hold it and got four season pizza, pretzel plus cappuccino for my brunch, even though i should have match it with a water instead. As I always like coffee with sweet items but never mind. Totally agreed that you can eat more if you go with a bunch of people, as you can order more different items, rather than like me just able to try one or two. The food were good quality with its price, I shall try the salad and ham next time, my eyes were hungry when I saw my next door having chicken salad… . I wonder if they will change the menu seasonally?

One point really need to solve from first experience I have here, is the ordering system. How could we order or grab the staff’s attention? as there are no queues, no tickets…  think this is one of the main issue that needs to be solve very soon.

I wish my office is nearby, so I could grab their pain aux chocolat or pretzel for breakfast… ai!

Make sure you make your way there someday, it can now be my coffee place after dinner!!
